Protecting our clients’ privacy is a paramount priority for Traditional Matchmakers.

The simple story is that we absolutely do not sell or share our clients’ personal or credit card information, on either an individual or aggregate basis, with advertisers or any third party other than those agents or service providers that facilitate our administrative (primarily billing and background check) processes.

Upon your registration as a client of Traditional Matchmakers, we develop a user profile for you which includes information that we collect through our online registration process, our background checks and your telephone interview. Once you have become a client we also collect your feedback as well as that of other members of Traditional Matchmakers. We use this information primarily: 1) to determine whether or not our service is right for you, 2) in our consideration of what matches to make for you, 3) from time to time, to contact you about your use of the service, and 4) to provide other clients to whom we match you with a summary profile for the purpose of making a match (to see a sample summary profile click here). This profile will not contain any personally identifiable content, other than the e-mail address that we give other clients so that they may contact you. nor do we serve content in a personally identifiable manner. To further protect your privacy, we provide you with an anonymous e-mail account, which enables you to contact and communicate with other clients with out revealing any personal information.

The information that we collect is stored in an internal database that is proprietary to Traditional Matchmakers and is only accessible by Traditional Matchmakers’ employees and, on a limited and directly relevant basis, our affiliate service providers. We do not sell any of the information that we collect from you, on either an individual or aggregate basis, to any third party whatsoever.

You can access certain of the information that you provide us with, without our assistance, in the Member Login section of our site. Within the My Account and My Profile & Photos sub-sections of the Member Login section, you may update a substantial amount of the information that we have collected from you. You are always welcome to contact us in order to delete your personally identifiable information from our databases, to update any of this information, or to modify your profile.

A cookie is a small alphanumeric text file that is transferred from a web site to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser. This enables the identification of your computer so that the website can identify you in order to provide certain features or functions. We do not use cookies to collect any type of personal or commercial information about you. We use them primarily for two reasons: 1) to facilitate your login process, and 2) to maintain a fluid online session with rapid download times for you if, because of traffic volume on the site, we switch your session between multiple servers.

Most browsers are configured initially to accept new cookies. You can, however, easily tell your browser how to notify you when a new cookie has been received, or how to disable cookies altogether. Consult the help menu on your browser’s toolbar for explicit instructions.

Agents/Service Providers. We employ other companies and individuals to perform certain functions on our behalf. In particular, we employ service providers to assist us in processing credit card billing. They have access to the personal information that they require to perform their functions, but may not utilize it for any other reason or distribute it to any other third party for any reason.

Business Transfers. If in the unlikely event that Traditional Matchmakers undertakes an acquisition, a merger, or a sale of the Company, it is likely that client information will be one of the assets that is shared or transferred.

Limited Circumstances. Traditional Matchmakers will release information on individual users when we believe that release is required to comply with law enforcement and judicial authorities, to enforce or apply our Rules of the Game (Terms and Conditions), to protect the rights, property or safety of Traditional Matchmakers, its employees, its clients, or others.

We protect the security of the information that we collect using both proprietary and outsourced software. We encrypt data using SSL technology to protect it during transmission. We do, however, depend on you to protect the security of your username and password and to be certain to sign off when using a shared computer.
